Our Itinerary: Aug 02 – Aug 20, 2025

Neelam & I are visiting Kenya and Tanzania from Aug 04 – Aug 19.

 Here is our itinerary:

• Aug 02, Sat: Leave Newark for Nairobi
• Aug 03, Sun Arrive Nairobi
• Aug 04 & 05: We would be exploring Nairobi, Neelam’s birthplace
• Aug 06, Wed: We would be visiting Talia Agler Girls' Shelter (TAGS) in Kajiado county, 45 min from Nairobi, run by Centre for Domestic Training and Development (CDTD). CTDC is a dynamic Women’s Rights Movement dedicated to reshaping perceptions surrounding Domestic Work and Care work, Eradicating Child Labor, Combating Forced Labor and Human Trafficking, and Ending all forms of violence against Girls and Women
• TAGS was founded by Richard and Mindy Alger, Talia’s Parents, in her memory (1985-2012), who had spent 6 months here during study abroad program, volunteering for a better world for young women and succeeded in doing so through her work, her wit and her love.

• Aug 07 – Aug 19: We would be on Safari with Odyssey Unlimited, with a group of 19 people.
• Aug 19, Tue: We join Richard & Mindy Alger, our dear friends and Jasmine’s uncle/aunt and visit:
• Nairobi Hebrew Congregation.
• The vocational school and seeing the training program, at Githurai (about 45 minutes away). We would be meeting some of the girls and young women who have been "reached, rescued, rehabilitated, and reintegrated.
• Depart Nairobi 10:55 PM
• Aug 20, Wed: Arrive at Newark
